For three decades, ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford has delivered contract-led commercial cleaning for organisations that need consistency, accountability, and dependable standards.

Thirty years in operation is not just a milestone. It reflects the ability to support customer contracts through changing buildings, teams, compliance requirements, and expectations, while keeping service levels steady.

What 30 years delivers for customers

Experience at this level shows up in the day-to-day detail. Cleaning programmes are structured properly from the outset. Site teams are supported and supervised. Issues are identified early and resolved quickly. Reporting is clear, and standards are maintained across the full length of a contract.

This approach has helped the business build long-term customer relationships across offices, public buildings, and commercial environments throughout Bradford. Many clients have remained with the business for years, not because of short-term pricing, but because service delivery holds up.

A strong heritage, strengthened by modern leadership.

While the Bradford business has traded for 30 years, it entered a new phase three years ago under current owner Stuart McCaig.

Stuart brought a background in financial contracting, with 15 years’ experience in data analytics and tender evaluation. That experience influences how contracts are managed, with close attention to performance, compliance, and long-term stability.

Rather than changing the foundations, Stuart focused on strengthening them. He improved contract oversight, introduced clearer feedback routes for customers, and modernised how the business communicates and reports, all with the aim of improving consistency on site.

“The priority has always been to protect what customers rely on,” says Stuart. “Our role is to make sure standards stay consistent, issues are dealt with properly, and contracts are managed with care over the long term.”

Consistency that supports customer confidence

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford continues to retain customers well, including many long-standing contracts. When changes do occur, they are usually driven by pricing pressures rather than service performance, which reflects the strength of delivery.

This consistency is supported by the wider ServiceMaster framework, built on more than 65 years of experience in contract-led services. That structure supports quality control, training, and professional standards that commercial clients expect from a long-term partner.

Growth without disruption

Under Stuart’s ownership, the business has grown while maintaining service quality. Turnover has increased by around 50%, broadly doubling from its earlier baseline, driven by retention and careful contract management rather than rapid expansion.

In 2025, the business expanded into Sheffield. This step was taken only once the Bradford operation was stable and performing well, ensuring existing customer contracts continued to receive the same level of service.

Celebrating 30 years of trusted support

On 27 February, ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford marks 30 years of continuous operation. It is a milestone built on customer trust, committed site teams, and a contract-led approach designed to deliver reliable commercial cleaning over the long term.

As the business looks ahead, the focus remains unchanged. Support customer contracts with consistency. Maintain clear communication. Deliver dependable standards. And continue providing contract-led commercial cleaning that organisations across Bradford can rely on.

‘We decided to sponsor a guide dog as we wanted to give back to our community, and we love that for such a small act, it can have a huge impact on someone’s life. ’

Meet Parsnip

Named after a festive feast favourite, Parsnip is a golden retriever puppy who loves downtime with his favourite toy, soaking up all the fuss and attention. He loves exploring new sights and smells alongside his mum, Dory and dad Victor.

Parsnip is one of the charity’s newest recruits and is enrolled in the Guide Dogs training programme, working towards his goal of being partnered with his new guide dog owner, providing life-changing support and companionship.

About Guide Dogs Charity

Guide Dogs is a well-established charity that is on a mission to help people with sight loss live a life they choose. Over the years, the charity has supported adults and children living with vision impairment. As the world’s largest assistance dog organisation, they are proud to be the only organisation in the UK to breed and train guide dogs. Not only this, but they are also the largest employer of specialists dedicated to helping children and young people overcome the challenges of sight loss.

ServiceMaster Clean business owners from across the UK celebrated winning awards for customer satisfaction at the ServiceMaster Thrive in 2025 Gala.

Five ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services businesses were recognised for their dedication to supporting their customers and their excellent client satisfaction, winning coveted ServiceMaster Clean customer awards at the ServiceMaster Thrive in 2025 conference and gala evening.

This blog post has all the details.

Achieving Excellent Customer Satisfaction

The five businesses awarded all shared one common denominator: exceptional customer service and a dedication to go above and beyond for those they serve.

Two businesses, ServiceMaster Clean AAA and ServiceMaster Clean North East, were celebrated for their extraordinary Net Promoter Scores (NPS). In the cleaning industry, an NPS of above zero is good, with an industry average of 16 in the UK. Siva Kugathas, Chris Bewitt, and their teams were awarded for exceeding this standard, with each achieving a score above 50!

Meanwhile, ServiceMaster Clean Winchester, Bradford, and Dudley were awarded for the exceptional customer service they provided for our multi-site nationwide contract cleaning clients. Each of these businesses, as measured through satisfaction surveys completed by our clients, achieved a perfect 100%!

ServiceMaster Clean is participating in the third annual Forget Me Knot Challenge to support Alzheimer’s Society.

Alzheimer’s is commonly misunderstood as a natural part of ageing.

However, it is a deadly neurological disease that is currently the UK’s biggest killer, estimated to affect 1 in 2 people in the UK in their lifetime.

This year, ServiceMaster brands across the UK have once again partnered with the Alzheimer’s Society to help them provide help and hope to the 900,000+ people living with dementia in the UK.

Throughout 2025, we’re working closely with our friends at the Alzheimer’s Society to raise a further £10,000 as part of our commitment to supporting them in their cause.

And as part of our fundraising commitment, our businesses nationwide are again undertaking the Forget Me Knot Challenge.

But what is the Forget Me Knot Challenge? And how can you get involved?

This blog post has all the details.

What is the Forget Me Knot Challenge?

The Alzheimer’s Society is represented by the forget-me-not flower, long associated with Alzheimer’s and dementia due to its impact on memory loss.

The Forget Me Knot Challenge is a sponsored virtual relay in which staff and owners from our businesses across the UK run, walk, or cycle the equivalent total mileage between each of our businesses, tying them together and raising funds for Alzheimer’s Society: creating the Forget Me Knot.

Get acquainted with the new owner of ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Sheffield.

Two years ago, Stuart McCaig and his wife, Eloise, decided to change their career trajectories to build a legacy for their children, rather than just working to live.

They moved into contract cleaning, purchasing the well-established ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford from its previous owner of 25 years.

Having watched the business sustainably grow over this period, along with the gradual implementation of modernisations and efficiencies to help meet new challenges, they have doubled down and decided to make another leap as the new owners of ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Sheffield.

We sat down with Stuart to learn more about their new business.

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford and Sheffield

As with Bradford, Stuart and Eloise are purchasing another well-established business with a strong operational foundation and a history of quality service throughout Sheffield.

These two businesses will operate under the trading name ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford and Sheffield, with a Head Office remaining in Bradford and a further operational office in Sheffield.

The Expansion

Stuart says that when the opportunity to expand the business arose, he was eager to rise to the challenge.

“Expansion opportunities within the network do not arise often, and given the proximity of Sheffield, it was a no-brainer. It is also a very different challenge to [running ServiceMaster Clean] Bradford, being a smaller business brings very different challenges, which I am keen to test myself with.”

Given the smaller territory in Sheffield, Stuart says he and Eloise have the chance to grow the business in their vision. Some processes in Bradford that were still in place from the previous ownership aren’t fully optimised for Stuart’s vision, despite the evolutions made through the business’s technological solutions, which have already enabled their expansion. Taking over Sheffield, they can implement these changes in their new territory to provide an even better service to clients in the area.

“Bringing the company further forward regarding its digitisation and modernisation has allowed us to free up the management team’s time to focus more on our colleagues and customers,” Stuart says.

Now, when implementing new processes in Sheffield, they can transition these across Bradford to allow our vision to spread across both areas.

This is a vision of sustainable growth through the opportunity provided by expanding into Sheffield.

“With the current changing landscape of commercial and contract cleaning, we have a great opportunity to bring a new and refreshed view to Sheffield,” Stuart says.

Providing Exceptional Cleaning Services

Stuart reassures both existing ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services clients in Bradford and Sheffield of the excellent cleaning standards they can expect in the years to come.

“We’d like to thank the previous owners, Mike and Carol, for making the purchase process as easy as possible, along with the colleagues we are inheriting. It is a great honour to take on their legacy with the intent of only improving on it.”

“We look at being approved to provide a service to your business as an honour, and one we don’t take lightly in any manner,” he says.

“When you entrust us to help you thrive as a business, we ensure we can do everything in our power for you to achieve this. We appreciate that all companies will say this, but we genuinely believe we won’t be beaten on customer service and communication.”

Our Communication and Customer Service

At ServiceMaster Clean, businesses like Stuart’s put you at the front and centre of everything we do. We put you first, working with you through regular audits and channels of communication to understand your unique cleaning needs and exceed them.

One year of ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services in Bradford.

Stuart McCaig joined the ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services franchise network a year ago as the new owner of ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford which he took over as a resale from the previous owner.

Here’s how his first year in business has been.

Before joining ServiceMaster, Stuart worked as a contractor and a permanent data analyst for Lloyds Bank, before deciding to be the master of his path.

Since then, Stuart’s focus has been supporting clients to create a better cleaning experience. His work in his first year has been about stabilising the business.

Stuart’s committed, methodical and driven approach to contract cleaning has helped him develop a rock-solid operational structure, providing a great foundation to build future years of the business.

To assess and maintain this structure, his supervisors run a regular quality survey to ensure the quality of their work is up to an exceptional standard – like an industry-standard  Net Promoter Score, but for internal auditing. They are achieving a high 90% score across all existing accounts.

Their exceptional services and structure have meant that in the last few months, Stuart has brought in around £500,000 of new business through new accounts created, based on a conservative 3-year lifetime value, and increasing his Net Margin from around 4% to around 11%.

We sat down with Stuart McCaig, the new owner of ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford.

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services in Bradford is now under new management, having been sold by the previous owner, Clive Jones, to former data analyst Stuart McCaig.

We sat down with Stuart to see how he’s been getting on with his new business and discuss his aspirations for the future.

Get to know the owner

Before joining ServiceMaster, Stuart worked as a contractor and a permanent data analyst for Lloyds Bank.

“I did a multitude of tasks, but towards the end, it was data analytics, and for my final big project, I was involved with a large-scale legal tendering process,” he says.

This background has informed his approach to decision-making and his direction.

After many years at Lloyds, he says he “wanted to be the master” of his “own path.”

So, he decided to step into something new.

After speaking with Clive and spending time in ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Bradford, Stuart decided to take it on.

He is now ready to bring his committed, methodical and driven approach to contract cleaning.

Stuart’s Customer-Centric Approach

Embarking on his new path, Stuart says his focus is supporting clients to create a better cleaning experience.

His data-driven background means he recognises how to see what is of value for business and is committed to client satisfaction.

“My goal is making sure that the customers are being serviced in the way they should be,” he says.

“If they entrust us with what is essentially quite a simple task, their cleaning needs, we will do everything to ensure these needs are met.

And if, for some reason, they’re not, we will endeavour to put that right. I’ll spend every waking hour trying to ensure the business is where it needs to be and making sure they’re happy.”

“I’ll go Above and Beyond to make sure they’re happy the service we provide is what they expect.”
