Our technicians from ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services LNP recently had the pleasure of working on the marble floors at the Chapel of Sidney Sussex College in Cambridge. Our experts conducted a fully comprehensive marble floor cleaning and buffing programme, and the results are jaw-dropping!
What was the problem?
The client came to us, looking for a way to bring their tired, worn marble floors back to centre stage! Undoubtedly, in their original state, the floors were a focal point for the chapel. What did we do to help?
To tackle worn marble flooring, our specialist cleaning technicians took to the floor, offering a full marble treatment service. This included using four separate diamond cutting pads, all differing in strength and coarseness.
The aim was to bring the old colour of the marble back to life and bring out the shine it once had. Working with the machines was a gradual process to bring out the colour and slowly remove any dirt build-up or dullness from the top layer of marble. To ensure the marble was once again a spotlight feature for the chapel; a light buffering to finish this treatment ensured the marble had a lasting, glossy shine we were after.

The main priority was to bring out the original colour and finish of the marble, so it looked as good as new! Our technicians are trained to work with some of the industry-leading technology to deliver only the very best for our clients. To do this, specialist cutting pads, rotors and a victor for final buffing were used to complete this cleaning programme.
