ServiceMaster Clean North East owner, Chris Blewitt, wins North Star Invest Award for Best Support to Peers.
Chris Blewitt, the owner of ServiceMaster Clean North East, was one of many exceptional franchisees to take home an award at the ServiceMaster Thrive in 2025 conference and gala evening.
However, alongside winning both growth and customer satisfaction awards, Chris was also the sole recipient of the prestigious North Star Invest Award for Best Support to Peers.

The special Best Support to Peers Award was inspired and nominated by a fellow franchise partner in recognition of outstanding support from Chris, who supported them with operations and software by allowing them to visit his business and learn everything they needed to know.

Collecting his award alongside his daughter, Jessica, Chris reflected on the changes in his business that have supported the wider brand and how this represents what he first loved about the franchise business model:
“Going back to when we first got the business, we bought into the concept of franchising as different to other business formats in that it’s about having a support network. We’ve learned a lot from people, particularly when we first started, and now we try and give back to other people,” he says.
”Some of the systems that we’ve implemented in our business have been held up as best practice, so we’ve had visits from different people to share some of those things and I think some of the work at Head Office is also based on what we’ve been doing, so that, that gives us a tremendous amount of satisfaction.”
