This year, the ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services AAA annual conference took place overseas in Tenerife. The four-day programme brought the management team together to reflect, plan, and reconnect away from the day-to-day demands of the business.

The conference focused on three clear areas. Reviewing the past year, recognising challenges, and setting direction for the year ahead.

Reflecting on the Year

The first part of the conference centred on honest reflection. The team reviewed business performance from the previous 12 months and discussed the challenges faced across operations, leadership, and growth. Each session highlighted how individual roles contribute to wider success and how teamwork plays a direct role in overcoming pressure and change.

The sessions also created space for open discussion. Managers shared experiences, lessons learned, and ideas for improvement. Feedback from the programme was extremely strong, with most delegates rating the sessions 10 out of 10.

Looking Ahead

Alongside reflection, the conference placed strong emphasis on the future. Team members set personal and professional goals, alongside clear pledges for the year ahead. These commitments were grounded in accountability, performance, and continued development across the AAA business.

Bringing the management team together in a focused environment helped reset priorities and build momentum going into the new business year.

Awards Evening

The conference closed with a celebratory awards evening recognising teams and individuals across the business. The atmosphere was positive and proud as colleagues came together to celebrate shared success.

Business owner Siva Kugathas shared his thoughts on the evening:

“The awards evening is always a highlight of the trip. Recognising the dedication and hard work of the team and seeing them stand proudly on stage means a great deal to me. When the team supports and celebrates one another, it creates a real sense of achievement and appreciation in the room.”

The evening reinforced the importance of recognition and the value placed on contribution at every level.

Team Building and Connection
Day three focused on team building. A beachfront breakfast set the tone before the main activities hosted by Vicki and Caan. Competitive spirit ran high, with Ayran and his team taking the overall win. Friendly debates over judging only added to the energy and engagement throughout the day.

The evening marked the main social event of the trip. A 1970s-themed night brought creativity, commitment, and enthusiasm from across the team. The event was held in honour of a colleague and friend, Kinga, who is no longer with us. Now known as Kinga Night, the evening was filled with shared memories, dancing, laughter, and moments of reflection. It was a powerful reminder of the bonds within the team.

Final Day
Day four allowed time to relax and recharge. Team members explored the local area, shopped, and enjoyed time poolside before preparing for the journey home.

A Conference to Remember
The Tenerife conference was more than a business event. It reinforced who ServiceMaster Clean AAA is as a team. The trip created space for reflection, honest conversation, celebration, and renewed focus.

ServiceMaster Clean AAA continues to lead through strong performance, shared values, and genuine team spirit. Success comes from supporting one another, recognising effort, and working towards a common purpose.

This conference captured that perfectly. It will be remembered as a defining moment of connection, pride, and ambition for the year ahead.

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services AAA has been shortlisted again for the Business Brilliance Awards 2026. The team is in the running for the Brand Brilliance Award, a category they know well. They have taken this award home for five years in a row. A sixth win would show how consistent the team has been and how much work goes on behind the scenes every day.

What makes the AAA team award winning?

The AAA team covers sites across the UK with more than 800 colleagues. You see the scale when you look at the numbers. Hundreds of buildings cleaned each day. Thousands of hours spent on site each week. Every task carried out with the same focus on care and quality. The Brand Brilliance Award recognises this. It highlights teams that protect their brand, act with integrity, and deliver consistent service.

The nomination reflects how the team operates. Managers provide clear standards. Frontline teams follow them. Quality checks run every week. Training sessions keep everyone sharp. Customer feedback is reviewed and acted on. Each step supports the same idea. You protect the brand by what you do each day. Hear what Business Owner Siva Kugathas has to say:

‘Being shortlisted for the 6th year running is great news for me and the team. More importantly, it’s a testament to how our team are always adapting and growing and maintaining our high standards of service delivery and championing everything that the ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services AAA brand stands for. Winning for the 6th consecutive years would be delightful.’

The AAA team also works closely with clients. They respond quickly to changes on site. They help plan for busy periods. They adjust schedules to fit operations. This builds trust and helps them keep long term contracts. You see this in retention data. Many clients have stayed with the team for more than five years.

Finalist for Brand Brilliance 2026

Reaching the finalist stage again sets a strong tone for 2026. It shows that the team keeps meeting high standards across every region. Whatever happens at the awards, the shortlisting alone shows strong recognition for hard work and reliable service that the team are committed to delivering to longstanding and new customers going into 2026 and beyond.

The winners of the Business Brilliance Awards 2026 will be announced shortly in the New Year (January 2026) The AAA team are ready. They hope to bring the Brand Brilliance Award home once again and as a national brand and franchise network, we’re behind them all the way! Good luck!

We are thrilled to announce that ServiceMaster Office Cleaning Swansea are supporting Alzheimer’s Society throughout 2025 with a series of fundraising efforts.

Our Pledge

As ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services, we have joined forces with the other six brands in the ServiceMaster Brands UK family to support Alzheimer’s Society as ServiceMaster Ltd.’s charity of the year and have pledged to raise £10,000 throughout 2025. As part of that network, our team at ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Swansea have actively taken on the challenge to help contribute towards the £10,000 total and have fully embraced all that the Forget Me Knot challenge has had to offer, not only for the charitable impact, but also to support employee togetherness, wellbeing and promote a real team spirit across all areas of the business.

Forget Me Knot Challenge

This year, the challenge has been undertaken by all ServiceMaster UK Brands and was held over the summer months, during the blooming period of the Forget Me Not flower, which is symbolic to the Alzheimer’s Society due to its connections to memory loss, which is one of the biggest symptoms of the disease.

Our Impact: The challenge consists of a sponsored virtual relay event where all of our teams across the UK either run, walk or cycle to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Here at ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Swansea, we’ve been committed to making an impact and supporting at a local level. Our fundraising efforts have seen us contribute 15% of the total raised so far across all brands, and our total steps have equated to a whopping 2103.25 miles, which is the same as walking for 29 days non-stop. We are proud of our efforts and are pleased that our £420 raised through sponsored walks (during the time of this challenge) organised by the local teams have gone towards helping the greater cause.  Director Jonathan Gethin says:

As a team, we set out the goal of achieving four million steps at the start of this challenge- which we’re pleased to have succeeded as the challenge came to an end. There were 7 team members that were pivotal to our overall contribution to the ServiceMaster-wide challenge. With an internal leaderboard, this kept the healthy competition amongst the teams, with one team member hitting 33,000 steps in just one day!

Our Contract Manager, Sharon won our local office challenge, recording over 750,000 solo steps within this period. Jayne Gethin, Managing Director came second overall and was immensely proud of her efforts:

“I am very proud of the steps walked by the whole team and chuffed that I came second overall, it shows us oldies can keep up with the young ones if we really want to! Although my Labrador Cassie has enjoyed it more,”

Why Alzheimer’s Society?

As a business that cares, we are committed to helping them provide help and hope to the 900,000+ people living with dementia in the UK. Alzheimer’s is commonly misunderstood as part of getting older.

However, it is a deadly neurological disease that is currently the UK’s biggest killer, estimated to affect 1 in 2 people in the UK in their lifetime. As part of our commitment to raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society, we will be following in the footsteps of one of our sister brands, Merry Maids UK, in undertaking the nationwide Forget Me Knot Challenge.

Jonathan, our Director, adds:

“Alzheimer’s Society is a great charity, and we, as a team, are extremely proud of the challenge and how the team embraced it. As a team, we are proud to have donated £420.65 to link to our 4,206,517 overall steps. We know that this money and the money raised by ServiceMaster Brands UK will go a long way to support those who need it.”

As a brand and business, we will endeavour to raise more of Alzheimer’s Society this year, so keep your eyes peeled for more developments throughout the year.

Making steps to raise awareness for the Forget Me Knot Challenge at ServiceMaster Clean AAA.

The team from ServiceMaster Clean AAA held a team walk as part of this year’s Forget Me Knot Challenge to raise awareness and funds for those living with dementia in the UK.

The Forget Me Knot Challenge

Alzheimer’s Society is symbolised by the forget-me-not flower, which has long been associated with Alzheimer’s and dementia due to its connection to memory loss. The Forget Me Knot Challenge is a sponsored virtual relay where staff and owners from various UK businesses run, walk, or cycle the total mileage between each location, linking them together and raising funds for Alzheimer’s Society: creating the Forget Me Knot. Walking to raise awareness and honour those affected, the team showed that even small steps can make a meaningful difference.

Members of staff had a fantastic time walking together at Epsom Downs Racecourse, enjoying the views, fresh air, and great company while racking up around 12,000+ steps each in two hours. Even those who couldn’t be there in person joined in by walking in their own local towns, making it a fun, inclusive, and heartwarming team effort that brought everyone together in spirit.

The walk was a lovely chance for everyone to catch up outside of work and enjoy the fresh air. With plenty of laughter, the team came away feeling closer and proud of raising the miles on the Forget Me Knot Challenge.

Alzheimer’s is commonly misunderstood as a natural part of ageing.

However, it is a deadly neurological disease that is currently the UK’s biggest killer, estimated to affect 1 in 2 people in the UK in their lifetime.

This year, ServiceMaster brands across the UK have once again partnered with the Alzheimer’s Society to help them provide help and hope to the 900,000+ people living with dementia in the UK.

Throughout 2025, we’re working closely with our friends at the Alzheimer’s Society to raise a further £10,000 as part of our commitment to supporting them in their cause.

And as part of our fundraising commitment, our businesses nationwide are again undertaking the Forget Me Knot Challenge.

But what is the Forget Me Knot Challenge? And how can you get involved?

This blog post has all the details.

What is the Forget Me Knot Challenge?

The Alzheimer’s Society is represented by the forget-me-not flower, long associated with Alzheimer’s and dementia due to its impact on memory loss.
